For every burdened thought, there is a reason — a someone, an experience, a piece of media — that put it there. A 22 year old boy with a rifle walks into a queer nightclub and opens fire. Two queer people take him out. A trans woman beats him. The rage is in our blood. The root of vengeance grows within us, a resiliency so potent that no one could ever truly stop the power that queerness holds. It is beyond this world’s capacity — so special, limitless and liberating that it disrupts all facades of normalcy. It permeates the flimsy screen that attempts to cover up the corrupt cruelty of a deeply manipulated person.
